These sacred hand gestures are used to enhance energy flow and intensify meditation. Mudras are performed for different purposes such as healing the body or calming the mind. They do this by intentionally directing the flow of energy through the body resulting in a shift in your state of mind. Sometimes these shifts can be very bad especially if you are not aware of what you are doing. What exactly is Sanskrit? We hear this word a lot but do we really know what it means? Sanskrit is an ancient Indian language that was developed to mimic the natural sounds of the human mouth. This language is rich with spiritual treasures and many yoga mantras are of its origin.
